We’re aiming to install traps at 1 in 10 households in Caversham, or about 200 properties. This number is based on best-practice recommendations for suppressing predator numbers in urban areas. 

There’s lots of factors to consider in predator control, such as numbers of predators in the area you’re targeting, size of the area you’re working in, home-range of individual predator species, and how likely predators are to enter a trap.

We will be conducting regular predator monitoring to assess whether this trap density is effective.
